Kolkata: Having already sealed a place in the semifinals, Shrachi Rarh Tigers outclassed Kolkata Royal Tigers by 7 wickets at the Eden Gardens on Thursday in their final league game to enter the last-four stage as league-toppers.
Batting first, a brilliant unbeaten 94 off 53 balls by Kolkata captain Abishek Porel powered them to 165/5 in 20 overs. The innings included 6 sixes and 7 boundaries, but failed to gain support from other end.
Sukhmeet Singh, Shahbaz Ahmed, Rahul Prasad, Dipanjan Mukherjee bagged one wicket each for Rarh Tigers.
In reply, Rarh Tigers went over the line comfortably, scoring 166/3 in 17.5 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed (78* out off 45) and Sumanta Gupta (60 off 40) were the star batters for Rarh Tigers. The pair smashed 103 runs partnership to chase past the target in 17.5 overs.
