Chandigarh : Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets at Mullanpur, Chandigarh in Qualifier 1, advancing in their 4th IPL Final.

Bowling first, RCB bowlers with likes of Josh Hazlewood, Yash Dayal, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar wrecked havoc on PBKS top order, picking first 5 wickets for 50 runs, on a pacy and grassy track.

The introduction of spin made no difference as Suyash Sharma picked quick 3 wickets in 3 overs spell, completely turning the match in RCB’s favour. He dismissed Shashank Singh, Musheer Khan and Marcus Stoinis, earning Man of the Match award.

Josh Hazlewood also picked 3-fer. PBKS were wrapped for 101, despite lone hand from Marcus Stoinis (26) at one end.

Chasing 102, RCB lost Virat Kohli (12) early. But Phil Salt (56*) smashed half century, guiding RCB past the total in 10 overs. His knock included 3 sixes and 6 boundaries.
