Kolkata : Former Indian Cricket team T20 World Cup 2024 winning Head coach has been appointed as Rajasthan Royals head coach. He coached this side previously till 2015.
Rahul Dravid led Rajasthan Royals as captain in 2012 & 2013 IPL and led them to 2013 Playoffs and 2013 Champions League final, losing to Mumbai Indians.
Very next year, he retired from IPL, and joined the side as head coach in IPL 2014, 2015, guiding them to Playoffs in 2015 finishing 3rd , before joining Delhi Daredevils from 2016 IPL.
The Indian legendary Batter then gradually turned to coaching NCA, National side, winning U19 World Cup 2018, ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Dravid will likely replace Rajasthan Royals current head coach Kumar Sangakara who will look after the sister franchises of the Royals – Paarl Royals in SA20 and Barbados Royals CPL.
Rahul Dravid has been instrumental in grooming young talents and his inclusion in Rajasthan Royals will boost more younger talents to Indian Cricket.
