Paris Paralympics 2024, Archery : Harvinder Singh clinches historic Gold medal

Paris : Indian Archer, Tokyo Paralympics 2020 Bronze medalist , Harvinder Singh clinched Gold Medal in Archery Men’s Singles event in Recurve. He creates history, becoming the 1st Indian to bag Gold in Archery in Paralympics.

Harvinder defeated Polish Archer Lukasz Ciszek to add 4th Gold medal to India’s tally.

Harvinder began his day with a commanding 7-3 win over Lung-Hui Tseng of Chinese Taipei in the 1/16 eliminator round of the event before dominating Indonesia’s Setiwan in the 1/8 elimination round.

He defeated Colombian Hector Julio Ramirez in quarter final & went into the semi final.

The semi final saw Harvinder getting better of Aarb Ameri Mohammad Reza 6-4 to march into final , achieving the historic feat there.
