Lahore : New Zealand defeated South Africa by 50 in Semi Final 2 of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, and qualified into Final. Joint tons from Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra guided Kiwis to the feat.

Batting first, Rachin Ravindra (108) smashed his 5th ODI ton, all of which have come in ICC events. He was well accompanied by Kane Williamson (102), who also scored his 15th ODI ton. Both formed match changing 164 runs partnership.

The innings ended with fire powers of Glenn Phillips (49*) & Daryl Mitchell (49) as New Zealand smashed highest Champions Trophy total of 362 runs.

Chasing 363, South Africa began with slow approach, skipper Temba Bavuma (56) & Rassie van der Dussen (69) smashed 105 runs partnership, before both falling to Kiwi skipper Mitchell Santner on 125 runs in 23rd over. After the breakthrough, Protean Batting soon began collapsing.

David Miller (100*) with his ton fought till the end but it was New Zealand that scripted the victory. They’ll now face India in the final on March 9, 2025.

Rachin Ravindra was adjourned Man of the Match for his heroics.
