Kolkata : The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has announced the list of 31 players probables for 2024-25 season on August 28.
Big name of India star pacer Mohammed Shami is included, who’s expected to be in action soon as he’s currently toiling hard at NCA. He’s among the big name in Probables and likely to make a domestic comeback for Bengal before a return to Indian team, keeping in mind the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Shami injured his knee in 2023 World Cup in India and hasn’t been in action since the final of 19th November, 2023.
Wriddhiman Saha and Sudip Chatterjee are 2 other big names who’re returning to Bengal team after spending 2 seasons in Tripura.
Promising young Batters like Abhishek Porel, Sudip Gharami, Shahbaz Ahamed, Karan Lal are also expected to play huge role.
Veteran campaigners and legendary Bengal Batters like Anustup Majumdar, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Saha, Sudip Chatterjee will be crucial in Bengal’s domestic campaign in absence of Manoj Tiwari who retired last season after serving Bengal for a long time.
The bowling department too looks strong with a mixture of experience & youths like Mukesh Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Kaif, Akashdeep Singh, Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal, Writtick Chatterjee, Shahbaz Ahamed and so on.
