India enter Asia Cup 2026 Final after commanding victory over Bangladesh

Dubai : India advanced to their 10th Asia Cup Final with 40 runs win over Bangladesh at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.

Batting first, Indian in form youngster Shafali Verma showcased her aggressive Batting with 64 (40) comprising 3 sixes and 7 boundaries. However, middle order yet again failed to impress, apart from small knocks of Pratika Rawal (20), skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (24*) and Richa Ghosh (21). India somehow reached 149-6 (20).

Defending 150 runs, Indian spinners kept Bangladesh Batters under pressure and started shifting momentum toward them from last over of powerplay.

Deepti Sharma picked 3 wickets to reach the milestone of most wickets in Women’s Asia Cup history – 11. Shree Charani also ended an economical spell with a wicket that made her fastest Indian bowler to complete 50 T20I wickets. Nandani Sharma also grabbed 2 wickets and gave perfect finishing touch in last over as India restricted Bangladesh to 109-7 (20).

Shafali Verma was awarded Player of the match for her lone battle.

India will be chasing their 8th Asia Cup title as they’re set to play final on September 13. The winner of Semi Final 2 clash between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on 11th September will decide India’s final opponent.
