Kolkata: Arsenal overturned an early Chelsea lead to a 2-1 victory at the Emirates on Sunday as Kai Havertz and Martin Ødegaard both scored either side of half-time to keep Mikel Arteta’s side unbeaten in their first three Premier League games. David Raya made a vital late save to deny substitute Estêvão as Arsenal rallied to win a thrilling London derby.

Chelsea took an early lead as a 2nd-minute free kick from Reece James went in off the post and into the path of Rogers, who volleyed past Raya. The home side settled down and started to grow in confidence as Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice pushed forward with increasing regularity.

Against the run of play, Arsenal equalized in the 25th minute when Rice found Havertz, who scored a stunner. They were beginning to look like the stronger team when Havertz and Christos Tzolis combined to set up Ødegaard, who made no mistake to put Arsenal ahead in the 50th.

Chelsea were still throwing everything forward in an attempt to equalize and it fell to Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto to set up a series of attacks, but in the end it was Arsenal who were dangerous on the breakaway.

Arsenal had to defend their lead in the final minutes, but Raya made a save for them that secured the lead and allowed Arsenal to finish the match and pick up all three points.

With this result, Arsenal now has nine points from three league matches and is off to a perfect start. Havertz and Ødegaard both played key roles in the comeback, and Raya saved the tie for Arsenal as they held on for another win at home.
