Nyck de Vries claimed victory in Round 15 of the Tokyo E-Prix, delivering a crucial win for Mahindra Racing in a dramatic race that reshaped the Formula E championship battle. Jake Dennis and Nick Cassidy completed the podium after another action-packed contest on Tokyo’s street circuit.

The Dutch driver capitalised on changing track conditions and a well-executed strategy to secure his second Formula E victory of the season. Mahindra Racing’s decision to prepare for a drying circuit ultimately paid dividends as de Vries managed his energy effectively before pulling clear at the decisive stage of the race.

Jake Dennis continued his consistent weekend by finishing second, while Nick Cassidy secured another podium after also placing in the top three during Round 14. Their strong performances ensured both drivers remained firmly in the championship conversation heading into the final races of the season.

The race featured unpredictable weather, multiple incidents and a late red flag, all of which played a significant role in the final classification. Pole-sitter Edoardo Mortara appeared on course for a strong result before late-race drama ended his challenge, opening the door for de Vries to seize victory.

Following the race, de Vries acknowledged that fortune played a part in the outcome but praised Mahindra Racing’s strategic approach and energy management, which proved decisive as conditions improved throughout the event.

With only a handful of races remaining, the Tokyo E-Prix has tightened the Formula E title fight, setting up an intriguing finish to the 2025-26 campaign as the championship heads toward its concluding rounds.
