Kolkata: Head coached by legendary Jose Ramirez Barreto, George Telegraph SC despite a tough start in CFL 2026 came back with first win of the season as they defeated Railway FC. Dominant wins from Calcutta Customs and Coal India SPA against Patha Chakra and Aryan Club headlined the day of July 21.

George Telegraph SC grabbed maiden win of CFL 2026 with 1-0 win over Railway FC. Despite the first half ending with 0-0, George Telegraph earned a penalty which Pankaj Roy converted efficiently in 78th minute to give them 1-0 lead. Railway FC failed to score any goals as a result George Telegraph earned maiden victory of the season.

Coal India SPA and Aryan Club battled for an intense match. The first half ended goalless for both teams. In 2nd half when the match was in 88th minute, Coal India’s Vikas scored the goal which gave vital victory to his team. Aryan Club failed to register a single goal in the whole game.

Calcutta Customs came back strong despite trailing to hand Patha Chakra 4-2 defeat. Patha Chakra started well with 15th minute goal from Sapam Toper Meitei. Customs responded with Riki Gharami’s goal six minute later. Yet again, Patha Chakra took the lead in 28th minute as Souvik Adhikary found the net. However, just before half time, Customs earned a penalty which in 42nd minute was converted well by Marshal Kisku to level 2-2 at half time. The second half belonged to Customs as they managed early comeback. In 49th minute Batas Murmu and just 6 minutes later, Rahul Naskar scored which rapidly increased the lead to 4-2 for Customs. They didn’t allow Patha Chakra to score any further, as a result, emerged victorious.
