Kolkata : Mohammedan SC defeated Rainbow Athletic Club 3-1, after trailing 1-0 in first half in their CFL 2026 first game Mohammedan SC Ground, Kolkata.
Rainbow started the game well with Jojo scoring goal in first half’s 36th minute.
Trailing 1-0 in first half meant Mohammedan needed a strong comeback and they did. Two quick goals within 6 minutes by Juwel Ahmed (69′) and Md Fardio Ali Molla (75′) took them in the lead. At the end in 90th minute, Thokchom Adison Singh added the 3rd goal as Mohammedan ended with 3-1 win.
The win comes at a crucial stage when the historic club is struggling through tough phase with no sponsors, salary stoppages to players, transfer ban on players and so on.
