Despite talks of expansion of teams, nothing such happened till now. However, Mysore assured that they’re fully committed to inclusion of KKR in the WPL, if they have expansion in future.

“I mean to be honest we bid for WPL… unfortunately there were only five teams and we came in at number seven… the valuations were at different levels… but there’ll be I think they’ve talked about an expansion at some point… so we’re very committed to that”.

Currently KKR are at number 6 at IPL 2026 points table, with 6 wins in 13 matches. Remaining winless in first 6 matches, they suddenly came back strong with 6 wins in 7 matches, eyeing for playoffs.
