Kolkata : Parul Chaudhary broke National Record in Women’s Steeplechase 3000m with iconic 9:13.39 time at Doha Diamond League 2025. She has hence qualified for World Athletics Championship, Tokyo in 2025.
With this, she broke her own National Record of 9:15.31 set at World Championship, Budapest, 2023.
Parul finished 6th in Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium finishing ahead of Paris Olympics 2024 silver medalist Ugandan Peruth Chemutai.
Kenya’s Faith Cherotich became champion with 9:05.08 while Qatar’s Wilfred Yavi came 2nd with 9:05.26. Ethiopian Sembo Almayew finished the podium on 3rd with 9:08.27.
