Lucknow : Chennai Super Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 5 wickets at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow and break their 5 matches losing streak.

Bowling first, CSK took 2 wickets in powerplay including Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran. They continued to suppress LSG Batters and run rate, but skipper Rishabh Pant (63) delivered an outstanding performance despite being out of touch and brought the score to 166-7 (20).

Chasing 167, debutant youngster Shaikh Rasheed (27) & Rachin Ravindra (37) built 52 runs opening stand, however, CSK began losing wickets and were reduced to 111-5 (15).

With 56 runs required off last over, skipper MS Dhoni (26*) and Shivam Dube (43*) pulled off match winning 57 (28) runs partnership, and finished the match in last over’s 3rd Ball.

Dhoni with 26* (11) including 1 six and 4 boundaries showed his old touch and earned man of the match after 6 years, oldest player in IPL history to do so.
