Raipur : India Masters defeated West Indies Masters by 6 Wickets in Final of International Masters League 2025 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Udaipur and clinched the inaugural title.
Bowling first, Indian pacer Vinay Kumar removed West Indies skipper Brian Lara (6) in the powerplay.
After powerplay, they bagged clusters of wicket including dangerous looking Dwayne Smith (45), as West Indies were reduced to 85-5 (12).
Lendl Simmons (57) played a lone hand along with Dinesh Ramdin (12*) including a 61 runs partnership, bringing their score to 148-7 (20).
Vinay Kumar picked 3 wickets, whereas, Shahbaz Nadeem bagged 2 wickets in his 4 overs quota.
Chasing 149 runs, Ambati Rayudu (74) & Indian skipper Sachin Tendulkar (25) smashed 67 runs opening stand.
Despite India lost Sachin, Gurkeerat Singh (14) from other end, Rayudu continued his heroics. He smashed 74 (50), comprising 3 sixes and 9 boundaries, almost taking India to finishing line before getting dismissed in 15th over to Sulieman Benn on 127 runs. Yusuf Pathan (0) too followed him in the next over on 132.
Yuvraj Singh (13*) & Stuart Binny (16*) did the needful as India chased down the total in 17.1 overs and bagged the title.
