PAK vs ENG, 2nd Test : Noman Ali, Sajid Khan spin web helps Pakistan hammer England

Multan : Pakistan defeated England by 152 runs at Multan Stadium and clinched their 1st Test win at home since February 2021. Pakistani spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan bagged all 20 wickets between themselves to achieve the historic feat.

Batting 1st, Pakistan saw masterclass century of debutant Kamran Ghulam (118) & skillful innings of Saim Ayub (77) despite losing 2 quick wickets for 19 runs.

Pakistan scored 366 in 1st innings, England’s Brydon Carse and Jack Leach bagged 3 & 4 fer respectively.

Coming to Bat, England, with help of Ben Duckett (114) was heading towards a big score with their aggressive approach, but Pakistani spinner Sajid Khan bagged 7-fer and made England collapse from 211-2 to 291 all out.

Pakistan’s Batting in 2nd innings was trapped with English spinner Shoaib Bashir’s 4-fer and Jack Leach’s 3-fer. A vital innings of Agha Salman (63) took Pakistan to 221 runs.

England chasing 297 runs, yet again faced the spin duo of Noman and Sajid. Noman bagged 8-fer and bundled England for 144 runs, thereby winning by 152 runs.

Sajid was adjourned the Player of the Match for his heroics.

The series is now tied 1-1 with the decider to be played at Rawalpindi starting from October 24.
