Sharjah : Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 31 runs at Sharjah in ICC Women’s T20 WC 2024 , with their bowlers displaying a magnificent performance defending 117 runs.
Defending the low total of 117 runs, Sadia Iqbal’s 3-fer accompanied by 2 fers of Fatima Sana, Omaima Sohail, Nashra Sandhu, fought hard and demolished Sri Lankan middle order.
None of the Sri Lankan Batters scored big as they’re restricted to 85-9 after 20 overs, losing by 31 runs.
Earlier in 1st Innings with Bat, Pakistan too, didn’t have any extraordinary display. Sri Lankan bowlers like Udeshika Prabodhani, skipper Chamari Athapaththu, Sugandika Kumari picked 3-fers each.
However, skipper Fatima Sana (30) handy knock and her small vital partnership with Nida Dar (22), brought Pakistan to a total to fight for.
Fatima was adjourned the Player of The Match for her all round display.
