Kolkata:- This summer the french superstar Kylian Mbappe joins the Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid on a free transfer. The new hero of the galactico era just going to be started but at this point there is a dispute resolution for the saga.
Paris Saint-Germain and star forward Kylian Mbappe are locked in a bitter legal battle over unpaid wages and bonuses. Mbappe claims the club owes him a staggering €55 million ($61 million), which includes three months of his old salary and a third of a loyalty bonus.
The dispute centers around Mbappe’s decision to sign a new contract with PSG in May, despite initially agreeing to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
PSG argues that Mbappe’s U-turn violated a verbal agreement, leading to him going unpaid for the final three months of his contract.
The French football league’s governing body attempted to mediate the dispute, but Mbappe refused their offer. The matter will now be taken up in court, with Mbappe’s legal team confident of securing a favorable outcome.
The saga has cast a shadow over PSG’s season, with Mbappe’s future at the club uncertain. The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form, scoring 12 goals in 13 appearances, but his relationship with the club’s hierarchy has deteriorated significantly.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has expressed disappointment with Mbappe’s decision to take the matter to court, stating, “We thought we had a good understanding with Kylian, but it seems we were wrong.”
The outcome of the legal battle will have significant implications for both Mbappe and PSG’s future.
