Kolkata : English Football manager Gareth Southgate has stepped down as Manager following the team’s loss in Final of Euro Cup 2024 against Spain. England team posted the news in their social media account.
“As a proud Englishman, it has been the honour of my life to play for England and to manage England,” Southgate said. “It has meant everything to me, and I have given it my all. But it’s time for change, and for a new chapter. Sunday’s final in Berlin against Spain was my final game as England manager.”
He’s regarded as one of most successful & consistent manager in major tournaments.
He helped England qualify for Euro Finals in both 2021 & 2024 , Fifa 2022 Semi Final. However, he ends his career being trophyless.
Southgate has managed England in 102 games with 64 wins, 20 draws , 18 defeats , 65.2% win rate.
