New Delhi: BCCI Cheif Selector Chetan Sharma revealed a lot of shocking facts about the Indian cricket team, BCCI and Virat Kohli. Sharma stripped off the controversy on how Virat Kohli was being sacked from his captaincy.

It was a selective decision

In a sting operation conducted by Zee News, former Indian cricket and then BCCI President Chetan Sharma revealed that he had no role in taking away Virat’s captaincy. “It was the collective decision by the BCCI selectors including Chetan Sharma”. He further added that the selectors were not in favour of making Rohit Sharma the captain, but they were actually against Kohli.

The BCCI head selector made it clear that Ganguly had requested Kohli in a video conference to stay as the T20I captain but that Kohli had either not heard or been unaware of it. The former Indian cricketer went on to say that Kohli “tried to slander Ganguly in the media” during his press conference (by purposefully speaking about the change in captaincy) ahead of the SA trip because he believed the previous Indian captain was responsible for his removal as ODI captain.

Chetan frames Kohli as a ‘liar’ and Ganguly was ‘right’.

Moreover, Chetan claimed that it was merely a “natural transition” and that the selectors only wanted one skipper in white-ball formats when he spoke to Kohli. He believes the Indian star batter didn’t react appropriately to the alteration, though. He also believed that the press conference altered the relationship between Ganguly and Kohli. The former player made it clear that the former BCCI chairman was not only not rigged in favor of Kohli but also not in favour of Rohit Sharma.

The former Indian cricketer also made it known that Virat Kohli believes Sourav Ganguly is primarily to blame for the captaincy switch. However, Chetan characterizes him as a “liat, ” while Ganguly was “right.” However, in the press conference held during the South Africa series, Kohli claimed that he wasn’t informed beforehand about the decision and consciously attempted to disparage the former India captain. The ex-President had previously advised him not to give up his captaincy role. Additionally, he said that Kohli believes the BCCI is beneath him and that he is above the game of cricket.

Players take injections to fake fitness

According to BCCI Chief Selector Chetan Sharma, who was exposed in a sting operation, the Indian cricket team’s players have been proved to have taken prohibited injections to become 100% fit even when they weren’t physically capable of participating in matches. The validity of these injections has not yet been confirmed, but it has been learned that they include drugs that cannot be detected in a dope test.
