
Caxias do Sul: With India’s men’s doubles tennis players and golfer Diksha Dagar reaching the finals of the ongoing Deaflympics, India has secured two more medals.
Prithvi Sekhar and Dhananjay Dubey of India advanced to the final of the Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, after defeating Argentina’s Mateo Jesus Gobbi and Nicolas Gustavo Lahitte 6-4, 6-0 in the semifinals on Tuesday.

In the meantime, Indian golfer Diksha Dagar has secured her second silver medal in the Deaflympics. The Indian star, who has won both solo and team events on the Ladies European Tour, defeated Norwegian Andrea Hovstein 5-4 in the semifinal to get to the final.
While Diksha face American Ashlyn Grace Johnson in the summit clash, Prithvi Sekhar and Dhananjay Dubey will be taking on France’s Mikael Alix Laurent and Vincent Novelli.
Earlier Dhanush Srikanth and Priyesha Deshmukh of India won India’s fourth gold medal at the Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, on Saturday, defeating Germany 16-10 in the final of the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event.
It was India’s sixth Deaflympics 2021 medal. So far, India has won five medals in shooting thus far, three of which are gold. Badminton took home the other gold medal.
