T20 World 2021: Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 101 keeps England juggernaut rolling

Sharjah: England continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing ICC World T20 sealing a 26 run victory over Sri Lanka in Super 12,Group 1 in Sharjah on Monday.

Jos Butlers starred for the Englishmen with his unbeaten 67 ball 101 powering his side to 163/4 despite early collapse. In reply, The Lankans were unable to withstand the quality of the formidable England bowling unit getting bundled out for 137.

After suffering a collapse early on and being reduced to 76/5, Sri Lanka fought their way back through skipper Dasun Shanaka(26) and Wanindu Hasaranga(34). The duo added a crucial 43 run stand and were taking the game away from England for an unlikely result.

However, the later got dismissed thanks to a stupendous effort at the boundary by Jason, thus ending the hopes for the Lankans. Shanka also followed his partner to pavillion an over later before the rest of the line up were bundled out.Adil Rashid(2/19) and Chris Jordan(2/24) topper the English bowling charts with Moeen Ali(2/15) also being amongst the wicket takers.
