Suraj Jaiswal’s hat-trick against Siliguri Strikers powers Smashers Malda to Bengal T20 League 2026 final

Kolkata : Sobisco Smashers Malda defeated Servotech Siliguri Strikers by 11 runs at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in Semi Final 2 of Bengal T20 League 2026.

Batting first, Malda posted 134 (20). Despite losing wickets at regular intervals veteran Writam Porel (49) played a handy knock to put Malda in a fighting position. Siliguri pacer Ishan Porel picked 4 wickets to bundle Malda on below par total.

Chasing 135, Siliguri lost both openers – Sudip Chatterjee and in form Karan Lal quickly and cheaply on 39 runs. Vishal Bhati (33) and Badal Singh Balyan (31) brought them back on track with 42 runs partnership. However, yet again, the flurry of wickets and decreased run flow started for Siliguri, as Malda bowlers paved a comeback after break in partnership.

Pramod Chandila (28) played a good knock at the end. But moment of the match came in last over, where 16 runs were required for Siliguri to win.

Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal’s iconic over, where he took a hat-trick in final 3 deliveries and conceded only 4 runs, as Malda moved to their 2nd final of Bengal T20 League. They’ll now face Shrachi Rarh Tigers in the final on Sunday.
