Kolkata : Adamas Howrah Warriors defeated Sobisco Smashers Malda by 54 runs at JU Campus, Kolkata. Sujata Dey became the first player in Bengal Women’s T20 League history to score a ton.

However, the day belonging to opener Sujata Dey. She smashed 112*(53) comprising 5 sixes, 14 boundaries and whooping 211.32 strike rate. Tithi Das (40) also supported her well for 102 runs partnership, as, Howrah posted 178/3 (20).
Chasing 179, Malda succumbed under pressure. Howrah bowlers – Disha Chandak and Sreyosi Aich grabbed 3-fers as Malda got bundled on 124.
Sujata Dey becomes the first player in the Women’s league history to score a ton, no other players across 3 seasons have scored the milestone. It earned her player of the match award.
